Bert Matter Inc. Trucking
For more than 90 years now, Bert Matter Inc. has been serving the needs and supporting the growth of our region and beyond.
Started in 1927 with one man and a coal truck, Bert Matter himself delivered the coal that fueled industry and heated homes here in the Northwest. By mid-century coal was on its way out, oil was coming in and thus Bert Matter’s coal box was replaced with an oil tank. When our customer needed us to haul construction materials, we bought flatbeds. When their jobs required us to go further, we obtained permits for interstate commerce and Western Canada.
When they asked us to help them find partners for needs we couldn’t meet, we started a brokerage.
This is a pattern we keep coming back to…updating our equipment and services to meet the needs of our customers.
We know that our good business is your good business. We have always focused on creating and maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships; that is reflected by our loyal customer base that in some cases goes back more than 40 years. We are proud to have grown with these companies.
In the future, we look forward to a steady sustained growth that is based on our customers’ needs. Just like we always have.
